Saline Support
Description:
A visceral study of physical reliance and structural intimacy. This original graphite and charcoal drawing, part of the series derived from video stills filmed at the Dead Sea, explores the raw weight and balance of the human body in a state of mutual support.
The figures are intertwined, their limbs forming a complex geometry of strength and vulnerability as they navigate the dense, reflective waters. Drawn on toned A5 paper, the work highlights the physical tension of the dancers, capturing a fleeting moment where two bodies become a single, grounded entity against the ethereal landscape. It is a meditation on human connection and the necessity of support, even in the most isolated environments.
