As the Artistic Director of the Old Jaffa Residency Program, I lead a professional and intimate framework that offers artists across disciplines a true space for growth. The program is housed in a historic, carefully preserved building in the heart of Old Jaffa – a stunning space overlooking the sea, featuring a studio, living and working quarters, exhibition and event areas, and an environment that respects deep creative processes.

The residency is intended for artists with a well-developed personal voice, capable of working from a place of professional excellence and broad conceptual thinking. It encourages engagement with personal, social, and cultural issues, while offering optimal conditions for creation – comfortable living, high-quality materials, and guidance from a team of leading professionals from diverse fields.

Since its founding, the program has hosted artists from Israel and abroad. However, following the outbreak of the “Iron Swords” war in October 2023, it was transformed into a rehabilitative framework for displaced artists from the north and south of the country. Despite the pain and uncertainty, we’ve succeeded in maintaining a high artistic standard and offering participants a sense of belonging, meaning, and an opportunity for personal expression.

Our alumni never truly leave – we maintain close relationships even after their residency ends, offering guidance, job opportunities, exhibitions, and ongoing collaborations. In this way, a supportive, living, and breathing artistic community continues to grow beyond the walls of the house.
