Peripheral I
A monumental study of architectural precision and manual vibration. Ink on canvas, 160 x 109 cm. Created entirely by hand using a dip pen (crow quill) without mechanical aids or rulers.
Detailed Description
District 160 represents a profound labor of time and discipline. The vast surface of the canvas is mapped through a complex grid system, evoking the dense, rhythmic layout of a metropolitan district. Every line is drawn individually using a traditional dip pen. By forgoing the use of rulers, the grid retains a constant, organic tremor—a testament to the physical presence and endurance of the artist’s hand within the rigid urban structure.
The etching-like quality of the ink on the canvas creates an immersive environment, where the lattice shifts between structural mass and ethereal transparency. It is a unique, high-value piece that anchors any space with its silent, repetitive intensity.
